Internet Without Borders at the Paris Digital Week
From November 11 to 14, 2018, Paris will be the world center for discussions on the digital transformation, during the Paris Digital Week.Three events will mark this week: The Paris Peace Forum, the Internet Governance Forum, and the Gov Tech Summit.
Internet Without Borders believes that an Internet centered on the respect of humans right can be a powerful tool of peace.We are happy to take part in these discussions, through the organization, moderation, or participation in different panels.

Internet Governance Forum, UNESCO – Monday, November 12, 2018, 10:40 to 12:10, Room III: Submarine cables and Sustainable Development Goals.Internet Sans Frontières and Access Now are organizing and moderating a panel on the importance of a better governance of Internet infrastructures for achieving the SDGs; – Tuesday 13 November 2018, 1 pm to 2.30 pm, Room 4.002 (4th floor): Launch of the annual report on Digital Rights in Africa.Internet Without Borders will comment on the official launch of Paradigm Initiative’s annual report on the situation of digital rights in Africa.
Paris Peace Forum – Monday, November 12, 2018, 5:15 pm to 6:00 pm: Engaging the digital industry for human rights.Julie Owono, executive director of Internet Without Borders, will moderate this panel organized by the New America Foundation, on the project Ranking Digital Rights which works to invite companies to place the respect of human rights at the heart of their concerns and of their operations. Internet Sans Frontières is a partner in this project, and in January 2018 published a study on telecom operators and user privacy in two countries in sub-Saharan Africa.
